Pharmacy access to naloxone has substantially improved over the last 6 months. Click here for a list of pharmacies that offer “standing order” pharmacy naloxone kits. This means that patients can go in without a prescription and ask the pharmacist for a naloxone rescue kit. The pharmacist can provide the kit under a standing order and bill the patients insurance. Insurance coverage is variable. A list of these pharmacies is available here.
